Constitution Gardens

Constitution Gardens is just off Constitution Ave. between 17th and 21st sts. N.W. The tree-shaded grounds are crisscrossed with walking paths and offer some nice views of the Washington Monument from different vantage points. Park benches are convenient pit stops for resting tired feet while taking a break from monument fatigue. The Memorial to the 56 Signers of the Declaration of Independence is located on the island in the Constitution Gardens pond, accessible via a footbridge.
