Connecticut Science Center is downtown at 250 Columbus Blvd. (at Grove St.). More than 165 interactive displays in 10 galleries allow exploration and hands-on fun for all ages. Travel to a black hole or fly over Mars in the Exploring Space gallery. Test your strength and learn about sports equipment design in the Sports Lab, or see a 360-degree view of yourself in the Sight and Sound Experience. Meet and touch live marine animals in the Long Island Touch Tank.
For children ages 7 and under, KidSpace offers water play areas and a magnetic ball wall. Other exhibits focus on energy, planet Earth, forces in motion and Connecticut River ecology. Stadium seating and film adventures are offered at the Maximilian E. and Marion O. Hoffman Foundation Science Theater.
Food is available. Time: Allow 3 hours minimum.
