Kolb Studio

Kolb Studio, just w. of Bright Angel Lodge & Cabins, was built as a photography studio in 1904 for brothers Ellsworth and Emery Kolb, who took photos of tourists descending Bright Angel Trail on mules. The building now serves as both a bookstore and a gallery with changing Grand Canyon-related exhibits. Antique photographic equipment used by the Kolb brothers is on display, and you can snap your own photos from a small outdoor viewing area.
