U.S. Snagboat Montgomery

U.S. Snagboat Montgomery, at the Tom Bevill Visitor Center at 1382 Lock and Dam Rd., is one of the last steam-powered stern-wheelers used in the South. The snag boat, which for nearly 60 years removed debris from nearby rivers, has exhibits that chronicle maintenance operations on the South's major waterways.
